Senka White Beauty Serum: Hands On Review
The Senka White Beauty Serum is a treatment from Shiseido designed to brighten and fade uneven pigmentation for a naturally flawless look. Personally, I’ve been struggling with hyperpigmentation for long time. My skin scars easily, and once a scar is there, it’s difficult to make it fade. Therefore, I’m always searching for ways to even out my skin tone and get clearer skin. When I saw that Senka has a beauty serum that targets dark spots, I was honestly still a bit wary, particularly because my skin is a bit sensitive. In addition, I am of Caribbean and South American descent so my skin tone is dark compared to Japanese people. However, I was also excited at that possibility that it might work, so I’m here to give you all a review!
What is it Senka White Beauty Serum? What’s in it?
Senka White Beauty Serum is a beauty serum that treats hyperpigmentation/discolorations of the skin. On its packaging, it claims to not only clear the skin, but also prevent blemishes and skin damage. It is also supposed to provide moisture to maintain skin health and support skin turnover.
For moisture, it contains a well-known moisturizing ingredient hyaluronic acid, as well as natural moisturizers, such as rice bran and honey! I always like the idea of applying natural ingredients to the skin, so this was a plus for me.
As far as evening out the skin tone, the serum contains m-tranexamic acid, which is Shiseido’s product name for tranexamic acid. For those of you who are not familiar with this ingredient, tranexamic acid is said to decrease inflammation of the skin and inhibit the production of melanin, thereby reducing the appearance of dark spots.
The combination of natural moisturizers, hyaluronic acid, and tranexamic acid was a very attractive aspect of this product. With all of the moisturizing ingredients, I imagined that I would not have to apply much, if any, lotion after applying the serum. However, this serum does not contain SPF, so applying a moisturizer with SPF is a must.
How to use Senka White Beauty Serum
After washing your face and applying toner, apply a pea-sized amount of the serum all over your face. Next, layer the serum over particular problem areas.
I have dark spots around my mouth and chin area, so I layered the serum over those areas. Then, I applied a light sunscreen.

I am currently using a toner and sunscreen not by Senka. Obviously, I didn’t want those to go to waste! Instead, I decided to see how the serum would work along with the products I already have. However, the serum is more effective when used with other products in Senka’s skin care line. For example, the most comprehensive regimen would be to use Senka White Beauty Lotion, then Senka White Beauty Serum, and lastly the Senka White Beauty Cream.
Hands On Impressions
My first impression of the Senka White Beauty Serum was how moisturizing it was! Even though I only applied a pea-sized amount, my entire face felt completely moisturized and soft. It also seeped into my skin immediately, so there was no need to rub at all. Moreover, my skin felt so moisturized that I didn’t feel like I needed to add any cream. However, this may vary depending on your skin type. I would recommend first trying the serum without cream, and if you experience any dryness, try using a cream of your choice, or even the Senka White Beauty Cream or Senka White Beauty Gel.
The package does not indicate how many times a day to apply the serum. So, I just added it to my face regimen in the morning and at night.
Results
I’ve been using the serum for almost two weeks and I can already see my skin gradually becoming brighter, especially in my problem areas. The dark spots are not completely gone, but I’m surprised at how quickly it’s been working! Each day, I find myself applying less and less concealer to my face. I plan to continue using it and I am excited at the possibility of having completely clear skin without any makeup!
So, if you’re struggling with dark spots or hyperpigmentation, or even if you just want to brighten up your skin, check out Senka White Beauty Serum. I highly recommend it!
