Review: Gypsophila Live Enzyme 222 Plant Liquid Capsule Enzyme Supplement
Japanese enzyme supplements really are trending right now, and we often receive questions from our customers about just what ones to pick. It’s true that with the many varieties and huge ingredients lists, it can quickly become a little confusing. A place we often recommend our customers start is the Gypsophila Live Enzyme 222 Plant Liquid Capsule supplements. Why? Because this was one of the original enzyme supplements on the market in Japan, effectively starting the trend. First launched all the way back in 2010, this supplement is packed with 222 types of fermented vegetable enzymes.
People take enzymes for a range of reasons, from detoxing to boosting digestion and weight loss. They’re also popular among people who want to include more fruits and veggies in their diet, but find it hard to eat them, either because they’re busy or they don’t like the taste.
Personally, I’m a little late to the enzyme trend. So, to see what all rave reviews are about, I decided to try Gypsophila enzyme supplements for myself! Read on as I take a deep dive into the original Japanese enzyme supplement!
Gypsophila Live Enzyme Supplements Product Details
Gypsophila Live Enzyme supplements come in a pack of 60 tablets, packaged as small soft capsules. The official recommendation is six tablets per day, but many reviewers also reported seeing results while taking a smaller dose.
The fermented enzyme extracts in the product come from over 200 types of fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, seaweed, and legumes. While we all know that we should be anything from five to thirteen serves of fruits and veggies a day, out busy lifestyles often get in the way. For me, this was a key appeal of Gypsophila Live Enzymes.
Another key is getting a concentrated dose of some Japanese ingredients that are a little harder to find overseas, including goya. This bitter gourd is a staple of Okinawan cuisine, an area of southern Japan with some of the longest lifespans in the world. This melon has been shown to regulate blood sugars, an important factor in preventing disease and weight loss.
Results and Impressions
Reviewers mentioned a slight scent of black vinegar when opening the pack, which I noticed as well. Black vinegar is a slightly sweet rice vinegar that’s deep brown in color. For me, the scent isn’t an issue at all: in fact, I drink black vinegar every day for health reasons and because I like the taste! Even if you’re not as big a vinegar fan as me, it’s very a mild scent, and the tablets themselves have no flavor.
If you’re the type who has trouble swallowing tablets and prefer smaller types, I think this should be fine for you. Each capsule is a little smaller than a regular aspirin, round, and their soft-gel coating makes them very easy to swallow.
I took six of these tablets a day, giving me a total of 10 days worth for this trial. Of course, this review can’t to into the long term results of adding fermented foods and enzymes to your diet! In terms of immediate effect, I found that my digestion improved. So, in the shorter term, if you’re on a cleanse, detox, or weight loss diet, these could be a good power up to make the process easier.

Gypsophila Live Enzyme For Adults
A second type of Gypsophila Live Enzyme worth checking out is the Live Enzyme for Adults type. You might wonder what the “adults” part of this means. If you see “for adults”, or 大人, on a product like this in Japan, it more often than not means it’s aimed at folks in their middle-age and up… not that the original type is for kids!
This version contains 1,000 mg of hyaluronic acid. This is a natural part of our skin’s makeup that influences hydration, texture, and firmness. We often see this ingredient in topical moisturizers, but studies have found that taking even around 200 mg a day of hyaluronic acid had measurable benefits for those with dry skin within a month. If you’re dealing with dry skin, lines, and a lack of firmness, the generous 1,000 mg dose of hyaluronic acid in this version could be worth adding to supercharge your routine.
