Fighting the Aging Process With Fancl
Hi everyone, it’s Fujikawa! Today’s topic is about “anti-aging”!
Even if you’re thinking, “Anti-aging? I’m still have time…!”, for the sake of your future self in 5 or 10 years, be sure to read this till the end!
There is a very interesting survey about aging care.
Q1) When did you start to feel that you have started to age (aging of the skin)?
(94% feel that they have already started to age from 25 years old.)
It is often said that 25 is the age when the skin takes a turning point. So it seems that many respondents realise that their skins were aging when they reaches the later half of their twenties, or when they are starting their thirties.
Q2) Do you do aging care?
Most respondents deal with aging between 35-44 years old. While you and your friends may be saying, “We are still fine!”, your friends may already started on their own aging care! Don’t fall behind, oK?!
Q3) Why don’t you do aging care?
(In blue: “About half of those who don’t do aging care do not know what method to use.”)
More than half of the respondents who don’t do aging care answered that it was either a matter of money, or not knowing what to use.
Respondent demographics: 300 Japanese females, aged 25-55 years
Source: Vitamin C60 Bioresearch (Feb 2013)
So, what about you?
You might think that it’s fine if you are in your 20s or 30s, but there is no age to when to aging care can start! The earlier one starts with cosmetics, or the more one is exposed to UV rays (especially when they are young), the earlier that person should begin with aging care. ^^
But I think a lot of people will be wondering how to start with aging care. I am no expert in aging care, but I can recommend the aging care products from Fancl!
I would recommend anyone interested in aging care to look at the preservative-free BC series. It is considered to be the pinnacle of Fancl’s aging care line.
The BC series consists of three basic care products: beauty lotion, lotion and emulsion.
First, the beauty lotion that tackles multiple troubles
BC Beauty Concentrate
The BC Beauty Concentrate is a beauty lotion that focuses on the collagen cycle in the skin. The formulation contains grape extract which contains viniferin to help remove old collagen, and the extract of purple genmai (or rice) which encourages the growth of new collagen. This item leverages on the strength of new collagen for anti-aging effects.
For anyone who wants to include a proper anti-aging routine but is worried about costs, this is the recommended starting item. Just add this step to your current skincare routine and you would have begun your anti-aging routine.
To get rid of the old, while creating new
Grape extract, contains viniferin
Purple genmai extract
It’s difficult to apply cosmetics if the skin is dry, so for anyone worrying about their makeup thinning off towards the end of the day, it is recommended to use this under your current makeup foundation. It’s quite thrilling to know that you may be able to enjoy a well-applied makeup daily from here on!

BC Lotion and BC Emulsion
These two items are what you want to use together with BC Beauty Concentrate. The viscous BC lotion aims to help you achieve young, lustrous skin by thoroughly penetrating the skin.
Both Lotion and Emulsion are used for sagginess, laugh lines, or the areas around the eyes where it is specially dry. They are formulated with both hops and pear extracts which have a moisturising effect, so it is specially recommended for anyone with dry skin.
The order of use is: BC Lotion, BC Beauty Concentrate and BC Emulsion.

BC Cleansing Oil
Creates the foundation from which anti-aging care can be effective and be seen. You may think of this item as Fancl’s representative Mild Cleansing Oil with additional moisturising effect.

BC Facial Washing Cream
The thick foam from this item is able to exfoliate. This is recommended for you if you want to remove the dirt that are deep inside the pores, if you feel that your skin colour has dropped a tone, or if you want skin with a clear feeling.
The BC Cleansing Oil and BC Facial Washing Cream are great for anyone who feel that they have lost the clarity on their skins! To achieve a beautiful skin, start by clearing the accumulated dirt and dead skin away!

The “Pamper Your Skin” Special Series!
BC Intensive Skin Booster
This is for anyone who wants an intensive, fast and thorough aging care for one month.
The Vitamin C derivative (APPS) and essence are mixed to create a concentrate with a very high level of freshness before use. APPS is able to reach deep into pores to do its work, and allows skin care that comes after to work more effectively.
Just like the sponges above, the denser the lotion, the longer the concentrate will stay on the skin.
“There’s an important in a month’s time!”
“I want to see the results fast!”
For you, be sure to give this a try. Who knows, this might be the turning point for beautiful skin for you.

FANCL BC Mask

BC Night Intensive Cream
This cream helps deal with dryness and small wrinkles related to aging. This is recommended for anyone who wants to do aging care, but often find it troublesome or time-consuming to do it. A simple aging care that you can do to get beautiful skin, simply by applying this!
There is also a series recommended for anyone who is concerned about aging care, even though they have not seen any discolouration or wrinkles on their skins yet. The new and simple skincare, Active Conditioning EX series.

FANCL Active Conditioning EX Lotion and Emulsion
The Active Conditioning Series focuses on self-support of the skin. Not only does it help develop a young layer skin, but also aims to draw out the original suppleness in the skin. Developing a high, self-supporting skin strengthens itself against the effects of aging.
The Active Conditioning EX series comes in 2 types, lotion and emulsion. Active ceramide, adaptive-type collagen and bioglycogen are some of the ingredients formulated into the products. They include low molecular collagen which makes them easy to absorb, giving the skin a bouncy look. Since we know that the skin’s collagen starts to decrease in our late twenties, this is an easy anti-aging care series that anyone will want to start.
Type I is the light version, which is good for anyone with oily skin. Type II is the moist type, good for anyone with normal, combination or dry skin.

To clear dead skin cells, there is
FANCL Aging Care Washing Cream
Similar to the EX Series, it focuses on clearing dead skin to help achieve a clear looking skin. This item was created with the purpose to remove dead skin to make way for healthy skin growth, and is recommended to use this together with the EX Series.

That’s all for Fancl’s aging care series! We can see how aging care requires two approaches: to remove the old, to encourage the growth of the new. Of course, there is no such thing as the “perfect care”, so why not do what we can now? By taking care of yourself, you may like your current self even better, and that is a wonderful thought (^^)
Thank you for sticking around for this long article, and see you next week!
