Sensitive Skin Love! Shiseido d Program Conditioning Wash Review
The product I’d like to talk about today is d Program Conditioning Wash, a product created out of Shiseido’s own sensitive skin research program. This is a facial cleanser for sensitive skin.
I had previously heard about d Program Shiseido from my daughter, who has had sensitive skin for quite some time. She had used d Program products before, but this is my first time. Unfortunately, my daughter has been very busy recently, so I’ll be reviewing this product without her valuable input! I’m a bit disappointed (//∇//)
What is “d Program”?
- Designed to avoid overstimulating sensitive skin
- Alcohol free
- Made using carefully selected ingredients
- Paraben free
- Clean manufacturing methods
- Unscented
The d Program conditioning wash really is designed for people with sensitive skin in mind!
This cleanser has some particular features:
- Lathers into a thick foam to gently remove impurities.
- Allows skin to absorb moisturizers more easily.
- Prevents rough skin, visible pores, and acne.

Let’s test it out!
Packaging of d Program Conditioning Wash
This product comes boxed. It looks quite high end!
There is tape on the other side of the bottle which will break once you twist the cap.
Let’s start by opening it up!
How To Use d Program Conditioning Wash
- Take about 1cm worth of product in the palm of your hand.
- Create a foam lather using an appropriate amount of warm or cold water.
- Cover the entire face with the lather to wash the face, then rinse off thoroughly.
If lathering the product by hand (I’m not very good at lathering up cleansers like this…):
If using a foam net: (Yep, this is much easier!!)
Personally I found the instructions “an appropriate amount of water” a bit hard to understand. In the end, I added water three times.
Make a thick foam!
The photo above is using foam made using a foaming net. I used the same amount of product, but it produced far more lather. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a net to make the foam, but think it can be a little tricky for most people without one!
Your hands really do barely make contact with your skin with a thick foam like this.. The foam makes your movements very smooth as you cleanse your face. It feels good! The bubbles are thick; it actually feels like it has a weight to it. It’s completely different feeling than soap bubbles.
After washing, I deliberately left off moisturizers to see how my face looked– funnily enough, my dry skin seemed to have improved even without it. After about 20 minutes I put on my moisturizer.
I don’t have sensitive skin, but my skin had been a little rough and irritated for the last few days. It’s improved now– I wonder if it’s thanks to D Program Conditioning Wash? (^^)v
The d Program Conditioning Wash may be a little on the expensive side, but I was able to confirm that this really is a product that’s good for your skin. I’d recommend those with sensitive skin and even those without those particular problems to give it a try!
