is it ok to take dhc collagen even i have PCOS thank you

    • Wonect Team says:

Hi Jewel, thank you so much for the question! Although we’d really like to answer this question, it’ll be irresponsible for us to do so because we are not medical experts. While we believe collagens are safe for consumption, it is the non-collagen ingredients that differ collagen supplements from one another.

What we’d suggest is getting a list of DHC collagen ingredients to match against a list of ingredients you want to avoid, or show that list to your doctor for advice. Let us know if there is a particular DHC collagen product you are looking at (link here for reference), and we can retrieve the ingredient list from DHC.

Hello, can i take DHC collagen even if I have seafood and chicken allergy? Thanks

    • Wonect Team says:

Hi Feb! The DHC Collagen is derived from tilapia fish, so depending on your type of seafood allergy this may not suitable for you. Chicken is not mentioned in the allergen warnings on the packet, only soy and gelatin. You should check with your doctor, and maybe you might be better off looking for a pork-derived collagen supplement just to be completely sure?

I would really like to know if anyone has any idea what kind of gelatin is used on the DHC collagen supplement? Thanks.

  4. Hanny Meiriza says:

Hi Wonect, thank you for the helpful article.
    I have dairy food/drinks & soybeans allergic.
Which one is safer for me either Shiseido or Meiji Premium Collagen?

    Thanks in advance

    • Wonect Team says:

      Hi Hanny,
There are a lot of different variations of both brand’s collagen, so I’ve quickly translated the allergens from each company’s website. All of the Meiji collagen seem to contain soy, so you might be better off with a Shiseido collagen in tablet form. The Shiseido website also has a note saying that the milk included is “milk calcium” and the soy is found in the coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin E.

I should just say to you and anyone else reading, this information may not be 100% up to date or accurate! It’s just for your reference and not a guarantee that these products will be OK for you. Please make sure to check the package of the actual product for the allergen listing, and if your allergies are severe, speak to your doctor first.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

  5. danica daee says:

can I take DHC collagen while breastfeeding?

    • Wonect Team says:

Hi Danica, thanks for your message! The general advice on the web is that it’s OK to take collagen supplements while breastfeeding, but the documentation from DHC does say that those who are pregnant or receiving medical treatment should talk to their doctor before taking their collagen. They don’t specifically mention breastfeeding, but my recommendation would be to check with a doctor to make sure, because everyone’s circumstances are different. There are a few types of DHC collagen, so if you need an ingredients list to show a doctor and it isn’t listed on our website let me know what product you’re interested in and I can translate for you 🙂
