Wonect Chat: Retrospection
Good afternoon everyone! Thank you for always supporting Wonect.com and .life. It’s amazing how far we have comed together, and this year we plan to do even more!
Looking back on the things we’ve done
Some of you have participated in our surveys. Thus for the past 2016, we’ve been working hard on include features that our clients want!
One thing some of our customers wanted was more product numbers and variety. Wonect has been diligent in adding new products to the store almost everyday since then. We’ve even researched what the new releases are going to be on the following month, so that you can prepare your wishlist if you want to.

Product information about Japanese products proved to be quite popular among our customers, readers and audience. This included sunscreens, collagen products and hair care products. We’ll definitely aim to provide information for all the products in the store, and we share information on our YouTube channel, and have start the “Ask Wonect” initiative, which you can read more about below!
We had our website revamped in June 2016. However, even though some of our customers are fine with our website, we feel that the rest of customers wanted more from us. Come 20 Jan 2017, we are going to redesign the website, so look out for it. Oh, and there’ll be a small sale to celebrate the renewal of the site too. 😉
However, not all is peaches
It is often said that e-commerce businesses are only as good the delivery service. Unlike Japan postal services, some services in your location may not do redelivery, have service gaps etc. One issue Wonect often face is the lack of update on the package when the package reaches the destination country, for example in Singapore:
Complaints are unavoidable in our line of service. One of the memorable issues from last year was not a complaint however, but an aggression suspecting us of lying to our customers, that online shoppers are not smart enough to make smart purchasing decisions. We learnt something important from that experience: that it is not true at all. Our customers are really smart shoppers, sophisticated and thoughtful about their purchases. Most our shoppers do their research and due diligence, and entrusts us to deliver the products, for which we are grateful for the trust. The rest raised their questions to check with our staff, for which we are happy for playing a role of what product best suited their needs.
Customers need to beware of frauds whenever they make purchases online. Did you know that sellers see a lot of fraudster cases too? These fraudsters have been targeting Wonect for electronic products last year, and the checks with credit card bank have shown that these were indeed fraudulent cases. So in the future, we apologise in advance if we are more careful with such orders when you order them!
What do we have in store for you this year?
We are going to roll out a few more promotions, to see if you enjoy them! This is in part of the feedback we’ve received, that some of you wanted to see more promotions. So Wonect has implemented the following beginning January 2017:
1) 5x Points Days
Every 5th, 15th and 25th of the month, customers will earn 5 times more points with their purchases!
2) Sweets Days
Any purchase on 11th of every month will include Japanese candy!
3) Birthday Gift
We gift points to our members on their birthdays, so be sure to update your account details!
4) Best Review Award
For one week every month, there will be a period when all reviews will earn double points. Best review will win a free gift!
5) Free Delivery Day
You want it? You got it. Purchases on the last day of the month gets free delivery service!
We’d be monitoring the participation of these promotions, are make adjustments from there. Your feedback would really help us improve our services, so they are welcomed any time!
Of course, campaigns are still going to be held from time to time, so be sure to sign up to our newsletter so you don’t miss the promotions!
We’ve are also rolling out the “Ask Wonect” initiative, where you can ask questions about Japanese products, and make better purchasing decisions.
If you are having difficulty figuring out the Japanese text on the products, or finding it hard to differentiate similar products, you can ask us, ask Wonect! Our staff are Japanese, who can access the Japanese language websites of manufacturers to extract more information for you. Did you know you can ask us for products you want that aren’t in the store too? 🙂
Wonect is definitely looking forward to 2017, as we continue to strive to give joy to our customers and provide a stronger, safer online shopping experience.

We have a lot more things planned, but they will need testing and time for implementation.
